Bowmore hat zwar seinen Ruf durch Sherry-Whiskies, für mich sind die Bowmores aus Bourbonfässern aber eine Klasse besser. Elegante Süße, Vanille und Karamell verbinden sich mit Rauch, der aber nicht alles andere überdeckt. Problemlos in der Fassstärke trinkbar. Beim Verdünnen bleiben Kraft und Geschmack erhalten, der Rauch nimmt etwas zu.

Ich hatte diesen Whisky bei einem privaten Probierabend mit dem Motto "Bourbon Cask + leichter bis mittlerer Torfgehalt" dabei und er war der Renner. Wirklich etwas ganz besonderes.
