Pécharmant 2011 Chateau de Bergerac Tiregand 14% vol. 0.75l

Winner of the silver medal 2013 at the Concours General Agricole in Paris 2013

In the northern part of the Bergerac with the Apellation Pécharmant the best red wines are produced.
The most famous winery in the area is the Chateau Tiregand in Creysse, which dates back to the 13th century and has been family-owned since 1831.

The current owner is the Comtesse St. Exupéry, a close relative of the famous writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
A southern slope with marl ground (limestone with clay) gives the red wine enough body for a one-year barrel storage and up to ten years of life in the bottle.

The plantation of the vineyard consists of 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 55% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec.
After aging in oak barrels, which are partially renewed annually, the clarification is done barrel by barrel only with protein.
