Product information "Graves 2012 Bordeaux Chateau de La Brède blanc 13% vol. 0.75l"
The Chateau de La Brède was built in the 13th century in Gothic style about one kilometer west of La Brède.
Probably the best known owner of the chateau is Baron Charles-Louis de Secondant, born in 1689, who in 1716 inherited from his uncle the office of President of Parliament, whose fortune and name were Montesquieu.
Living on the chateau, the state philosopher, sociologist and writer Montesquieu wrote most of his writings, including The Book of the "Spirit of the Laws" in 1731.
UNESCO declared the chateau a World Heritage Site in 1951, and in 2004, after the death of its last descendant, it was converted into a foundation.
In 2011, the owner of the Vieux Chateau Gaubert, Dominique Haverlan, took over the Chateau de La Brède.
The white wine of Chateau de La Brède is a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon.
Maceration, alcoholic fermentation and storage for 5 months take place in French oak barrels.
Aroma: the bouquet has aromas of citrus fruits and apricots, harmoniously integrated in a subtle woody note
Taste: rich, fresh fruit with an elegant acacia note and impresses with its wealth and concentration
Finish: the extract has a great minerality and gives the 2012er a very long and powerful finish
