Under the name of Ledaig, the Scottish distillery Tobermory fills in their peated single malt whiskys.
Signatory selected barrel #700117 for this bottling, distilled on September 14, 2011, bottled on April 16, 2019.

Nose: earthy smoke and medical aromas of mull and iodine - in the background green apples
Taste: again the smoke, in addition grilled meat and sweet honey - in the background again the apples
Finish: the smoke remains preserved, toasted cereal and caramelized sugar

Wirklich toll! Hab im Vergleich den Ledaig 10J Werksabfüllung hier und der 7 jährige ist sogar weicher, trotz jüngerem Alter. Und besser ausbalanciert. Die verschiedenen Geschmacksfacetten kommen noch viel deutlicher zur Geltung. Neben dem Rauch und der Zitrus- und Tropenfruchtigkeit eines Ledaig kommt noch der Geschmack von Haribo Cola-Fläschchen und eine sanfte Nussigkeit dazu. Und noch viele weitere schöne Facetten blitzen hier und da auf. Das macht Spaß! Zumal zu dem Preis!

Wer Torfig-Rauchiges mag wie, für den ist dieser Whiskey genau richtig.
Ohne mit Wasser experimentieren zu müssen, gleich trinkfertig.
