The new 12-year-old Inchmurrin from the Loch Lomond Distillery - matured in three different cask species - exBourbon, refill and recharred.
A very well balanced single malt whisky with many aromas and flavors.

Nose: fruity with clear pear and fruit candy, with a slight toffee sweetness and freshly cut hay
Taste: ripe oranges, peach and apricot - followed by creamy fudge and fresh vanilla
Finish: Medium length on the finish with an elegant peppery note

Ist okay, mehr aber auch nicht. Geschmacklich hat er nicht wirklich überzeugt, dafür tröstet der günstige Preis ein wenig über die Defizite hinweg.

Schön, was die oft geschassten Loch Lomonder hier mit der Mark Inchmurrin abliefern. Ein Qualitätssprung zu den vorherigen Abfüllungen, ähnlich wie beim LL selbst.
Für mich eine der Einsteiger-Entdeckungen des Jahres, mit tollen 46%, ungefiltert glaub ich und vor allem mit einer bei Neuabfüllungen seltenen gewordenen Altersangabe. Bravo!
Nur keinen Rauch erwarten, wie das wohl früher bei Inchmurrin manchmal der Fall war.
Detaillierte Geschmacksbeschreibungen finden sich auf allen eingängigen Seiten bzw. Foren. Für den Preis ein Wagnis wert - von diesem Malt wurden schon einige positiv überrascht.
