The Malt and Grain Whiskeys selected for this Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey were stored in former port wine barrels after blending for additional maturation.
The result is a pleasant Whiskey with lots of fruit and notes of fruity port.
Aroma: sweet aromas of honey and red, ripe fruits - sweet raisins and plums, slight traces of nuts and smoke
Taste: again the sweetness - very pleasant, many fruity notes of ripe, red berries and juicy, dried fruits - clearly the port
Departure: soft and fruity-sweet on the finish

Die Grouse... mein absoluter Lieblingsblend im unteren Preissegment, mein Reisewhisky. Die Grouse schlägt die Konkurrenz, sogar Chivas Regal, um Längen! Diese ganz leichte Rauchigkeit macht's, runder, kraftvoller Körper.

Der The Famous Grouse ist ein einfacher, aber insgesamt guter Whisky mit einem sehr guten Preis. Als Einstieg in die Whisky kann ich ihn sehr empfehlen.

Auch dieser intensiv im Portweinfass nachgereifte. Whisky ist eine echte Preisbombe.
