This Scottish Speysider from the Glenrothes distillery matured for eight years in an exSherry Butt before it was bottled on 18.03.2016.
Aroma: ripe pineapple and orange marmalade, then honey and vanilla - ginger, toffee and marzipan in the background
Taste: mouth-filling and soft in the taste, almost oily, clearly the sherry influence, again the honey, then cream brulee, some pepper, dark chocolate and nuts
Finish: long, fruity finish with slightly spicy notes
