With this bottling, Compass Box sets a further example in the fight against existing EU and UK directives, which prohibit naming the age of each used whiskey in a blended or blended malt whiskey.
Enlightenment is a blended malts whiskey (Vatted Malt), for which exclusively barrels of the distilleries Clynelish, Glentauchers, Balblair and Mortlach were used.

Clynelish (first fill American Oak Barrel) - 48.2% stake
Glitter Diver (first fill American Oak Barrel) - Share 36.7%
Balblair (first fill American Oak Barrel) - Share 10.8%
Mortlach (rejuvenated / rejuvenated American Oak Barrel) - share 4.3%
Aroma: fresh and full with clearly apple and pear, with vanilla ice cream and violets
Taste: gently spicy with light citrus fruits and again the orchard with apple and pear
Departure: fruity, long finish with pleasantly spicy tones
Limited edition with a circulation of 5,922 bottles

Einer der Besten den ich seit langem auf der Zunge hatte. Alle die was gegen einen Blend haben, sollten diesen Blended Malt probiert haben. Sensation!!!
