Im Vergleich zum Glenturret Triple Wood ist dieser Whisky eine echte Kratzbürste. Hier wurden junge Whiskies bestenfalls nochmal ein halbes Jahr einem Sherryfinish unterzogen, damit man dem Destillat noch ein wenig Farbe mit auf den Weg geben kann. Das Ergebnis ist ein Whisky, dessen wenig aufregende Sherryaromen nach wenigen Augenblicken einem metallischen Kratzen auf Zunge und Hals weichen müssen. Dass Glenturret in der Lage ist besseren Whisky herzustellen, hat sie mit dem Triple Wood und der Peated-Edition eigentlich bewiesen.
