Roughstock distills the Pure Malt Whiskey twice from malted barley from Montana, then ripens the whiskey for 2-5 years in burned out Virgin Oak barrels.
Aroma: slightly fruity aromas of pear and apple, followed by caramelized banana and soft barley flavors
Taste: sweet malt and a lot of vanilla - plus more caramelized banana and toffee - light notes of spicy tannins and some wood smoke
Finish: Warming on the finish with an elegant blend of fruitiness and spiciness
