Corsair uses malted barley for this whiskey and the South American cereal Quinoa in the varieties red and white.
Quinoa is responsible for the earthy and strong nutty notes.

Aroma: fresh grass and chalk with spicy aromas of nutmeg and cinnamon
Taste: now intense nutty notes - almonds, walnuts and cashews - with lots of spice, more nutmeg and cinnamon, some honeysuckle - sweet and fruity notes of apricots - in the background roasted barley
Finish: Long, nutty finish with many spicy notes
