A small batch bottling with interesting barrel maturation.
For more than six years, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon matured in burned American white oak barrels before maturing in French oak barrels for a second nine-month maturation in which Cabernet Sauvignon from California's Groth vineyard in Napa Valley matured.
Nose: many fruity aromas and fresh, sweet vanilla pods
Taste: again the fruits - especially dark blackberries and cherries, to sweet notes of soft toffee and vanilla - behind it spicy with significantly rye and shot
Finish: caramelized sugar on warm waffles, with a pleasant spice
