Glendronach surprises with a 12-year-old single malt whiskey from a former Pedro Ximénez Sherry Puncheon.
Distilled on 29.01.2004, bottled in February 2016 to only 664 bottles.
Aroma: dark, ripe fruit with hints of ginger syrup, bitter orange and roasted walnuts
Taste: sweet dates and ripe figs, with a spicy oak note and herbs - clearly sherry behind it
Finish: long finish with a fruity-spicy note - the sherry barrel influence is unmistakable
