Octomore Edition 07.4_167 seven Year Old Virgin Oak 61.2% vol. 0,7l

It's time - with the Octomore 7.4 Bruichladdich presents the first bottling of the Octomore at the age of seven.
It is also the first Octomore to experience a slightly different barrel aging - 25% ripened exclusively in French oak barrels, 75% in First-fill exBourbon barrels.
The phenol content is 167ppm, bottled naturally in barrel strength with 61.2% vol. Alcohol content.

Aroma: a lot of peat smoke and sweet oak - clearly dried fruits, especially raisins, oranges and apricots, plus a lot of vanilla and chocolate, behind it you can see toasted bread and coffee, warm butter and coconut - some barbeque smoke and clove
Taste: intense notes of sweet smoke and lots of peat, burned oak, then again the coconut and cloves, phenolic tones paired with caramel and sweet and spicy notes - slightly fruity
Finish: long, peaty-sweet finish, toffee and fruit
