In addition to the classic of the highest distillery in Scotland - the 15-year-old - the distillery fills the Distillers Edition once a year.
This bottling differs from the standard bottling by an additional maturation in former Oloroso sherry casks.
Sherry and Lakriz notes are clearly recognizable here, which are very well suited to the pleasantly soft malt whiskey from the Highlands.

Im Vergleich zu dem normalen 15 jährigen für mich persönlich keine Steigerung des Geschmackes durch das Sherry Finish.
Mein erster Eindruck von mehrmaligen trinken (insgesamt bisher ca.20 cl ist das man zwar das Sherry Finish schmeckt aber all die anderen Qualitäten des normalen 15 jährigen nur sehr schwach durchkommen.Ist natürlich trotzdem.lecker und gut trinkbar aber werde mir das nächste mal wieder den normalen 15 jährigen bestellen.Ist preisgünstiger und schmeckt mir zudem einfach besser.
