A smoky peaty single malt whisky with a phenol content of 11.1ppm - measured in bottled single malt whisky.
Matured in exBourbon barrels from American white oak.
Rascan is a peat extraction tool that, similar to a rake, prepares the upper layer for the removal of the underlying layers.
Nose: at the beginning a fine honey-sweetness, then green apples and oranges, a little lemon
Taste: sweet and spicy with clearly vanilla and again the honey, with notes of toffee - spicier with notes of oiled leather
Finish: fresh herbs and gentle peat smoke

Extrem komplexer Geschmack. Zunächst süß fast likörartig, dann im Abgang eine "Torfwand", und das mit 11 ppm. Sehr interessant.

Meine Peatwhiskys, die ich schon sehr früh testen durfte in Schottland sind einfach gut!
