A smoky peaty single malt whisky with a phenol content of 11.1ppm - measured in bottled single malt whisky.
Matured in exBourbon barrels from American white oak.
Rascan is a peat extraction tool that, similar to a rake, prepares the upper layer for the removal of the underlying layers.
Nose: at the beginning a fine honey-sweetness, then green apples and oranges, a little lemon
Taste: sweet and spicy with clearly vanilla and again the honey, with notes of toffee - spicier with notes of oiled leather
Finish: fresh herbs and gentle peat smoke
