For 32 long years, this Laphroaig matured in selected exOloroso sherry casks before being bottled in May 2015 in cask strength.
The result is a beautifully rounded single malt whiskey with an exceptional softness.
Aroma: reminiscent of a juicy Christmas fruit cake, with some water clearly cinnamon and red apples, with traces of dark dark chocolate
Taste: intense and rich in flavor, again the dark chocolate, then nutmeg and a spicy oak note - with water now the sweet sherry tones, traces of sea salt and peat smoke
Finish: dry, long finish - sherry sweetness and spicy oak
