Wemyss has a golden touch (or should you call it a golden nose?) In the cask selection - this Linkwood matured 23 years in an exBourbon Hogshead - the result is a superbly balanced single malt whiskey from the Scottish Speyside.
Aroma: clearly vanilla cake and French pastries - and a gazebo, surrounded by roses and honeysuckle
Taste: Lemon cake, nutmeg and spicy clumps - with notes of apple and cinnamon tea
Finish: grilled grapefruit in gold-fired sugar
Single barrel filling - edition of 305 bottles
