For this bottling of the Flaming Heart too, heavily toasted Barrels of French oak were used, in addition to heavily-drunk Malt Whiskey!
The interplay of spice and smoke makes the name perfect for the whiskey.
Aroma: clearly smoke and peat, gauze bandages, seaweed and the spice of eucalyptus and mint - in the background slightly nutty and cut grass
Taste: spicy, again nutty with fruity notes - some sea salt and damp ash - slightly peaty
Finish: medium-length finish, again medicinal tones - sweet with light citrus notes
