This is not a luxury whiskey - Compass Box 53.1% vol. 0,7l
Inspired by the famous 1929 painting "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" by René Magritte (in this picture you can only see a whistle ...!), Compass Box called this bottling "This is not a luxury whiskey ".
This whiskey is a blend consisting primarily of exSherry barrel aged single malts from distillery Glen Ord, plus old grain whiskeys from two Lowland distilleries and a single malt from the Islay distillery, Caol Ila.
Aroma: the whiskey needs a few minutes in the glass - then fruity aromas of apple, pear and sultanas - sweet sherry, to warm herbal tones, chamomile and light tobacco - now wet earth and wood, slightly aromas of grain
Taste: Spicy in the taste with earthy and sweet-smoky notes, some cocoa and coconut - behind it develop fruity notes of orange and mango, paired with honey
Finish: mid-length finish with Christmas spices and smoke

Nicht nur die Erwartungen daran waren hoch. Diese wurden jedoch bei weitem übertroffen...

Excellent - wieder ein Super Whisky von Compass Box. Sehr komplex mit langem Nachgang. Ein Schätzchen.

Unglaublich!! Da ist alles drin, warm und weich mit fruchtigen und rauchigen Noten, alles absolut harmonisch aufeinander abgestimmt Compass Box hat es echt drauf!!!
