Balvenie fills under the name Tun at irregular intervals selected and sometimes very old barrels.
The selected barrels are married together and then bottled in a batch.
For this bottling, 32 barrels were selected - 18 exAmerican Oak Barrels, 5 exAmerican Oak Hogsheads, 7 exSherry Butts and 2 exSherry Hogsheads.
Aroma: a lot of honey, orange and sweet vanilla, some oak and a delicate ginger note
Taste: Sweet, elegant honey and citrus notes - then gentle vanilla, cinnamon ginger and nutmeg
Finish: in the finish still the pleasant sweetness and the spicy notes
