Miyagikyo Nikka 43% vol. 0.5l
The group was founded in 1952 by Masataka Taketsuru (1894-1979).
The family was known for good sake (the Japanese rice brandy).
In the 1920s, Taketsuru studied chemistry in Scotland and got acquainted with Scottish distilling art.
He worked among others at Hazelburn (today Springbank).
Aroma: like a fragrant orchard, with fresh pepper and some cinnamon - in the background a bit of oak
Taste: now clearly fresh apples and lime, again the pepper, with almonds and malty notes
Finish: warm finish with spicy notes

Ein richtig toller, einfacher Feierabendwhisky mit typischen, floralen Tönen für einen japanischen Whisky. Kein Rauch. Einfach nur klasse.

Ein sehr ausgeglichener Single Malt. Schöne intensive Noten nach roten Früchten, Karamell und eine Spur Datteln.
Ich werde ihn mir wieder kaufen!
