Great King Street - Glasgow Blend Compass Box 43% vol. 0.05l
Compass Box leafed through Aeneas MacDonald's book Whiskey, published in 1930, and found there the whiskey tastes of the Glasgow society of that time - full and complex, with far more flavors than whiskey drinkers from other parts of the world would like Glasgow taste good!
In Compass Box 'Glasgow-Blend you will find a pronounced peaty smoke, with distinct sherry notes, dried fruits and a wine character, the taste is full and round with a sweetness of tropical fruits
On the label you can see the famous Wellington statue that stands in Glasgow, including the traffic cones that the statue has decorated for decades in Glasgow.
For this blend 33% Lowland Grain Whiskey from a Destillery at Fife and 67% Malt Whiskey from the regions of Islay, Highlands and Speyside were used.
The Islay single malt comes from the distillery on Islay's south coast and accounts for about 20% of the recipe.
In addition, there is a fruity Malt Whiskey from the village of Brora and a sherry-heavy Single Malt from the Aberlour region, which accounts for about 33% of the Zezeptur.
The whole thing is complemented by small portions of Malt Whiskey from the Speyside and the Highlands, which are not specified.
