The last stocks from the since 2002 closed rum distillery Caroni on Trinidad & Tobago.
The old stocks are launched by European bottlers, this bottling limited to 3,850 bottles was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2014 - the barrels were stored throughout the period on Trinidad & Tobago.
Caroni is a high-quality molasses rum with a lot of power and depth.
Aroma: clearly oak and spicy aromas of cinnamon, cloves and gingerbread, plus fruity aromas of apricot, bananas and plums
Taste: again the oak and the spicy notes - then soft and fruity - some menthol, licorice, and leather
Finish: warming on the finish, lots of bourbon vanilla, again the ripe bananas, some anise and caramel

Hammer Rum, schöne Fruchtigkeit, leichte Teernoten, Süsse und sehr anhaltend ein wirklich schöner Tropfen!
