The Dominican Republic is home to the Atlantico Rum.
Made from molasses (gives the rum more body and fullness) and fresh sugar cane juice (gives it a fine touch).
For two to three years, the two rums are ripened in wooden barrels separately, before the barrels are married together and matured for another two years in barrels, then for up to 15 years in the Solera process.
Before bottling, the blend is supplemented with a small amount of aguardiente (a low-alcohol rum that elegantly preserves the sugar ear's properties).
The Reserva Rum by Atlantico is a complex, mouth-filling rum - clear notes of ripe bananas and plums, an elegant sweetness and a slight spiciness harmonize perfectly with each other.
