Matured for 22 years, then Douglas Laing bottled this single malt whiskey in the XOP series - just 225 bottles ...
Aroma: rich and spicy with clearly muscovado sugar, dark toffee - a little reminiscent of a damp deciduous tree, with autumn fruits
Taste: now even more warming spice, plus barley sugar and biscuit with cocoa powder
Finish: long finish with dark, warm chocolate, soft raisins and a sweet leather character
