Product information "Velvet Fig Release 2021 Wemyss Malts 46%vol. 0,7l"
Wemyss has created a truly luscious blended malt scotch (Vatted).
Exclusively malt whiskys from the Highlands and the Speyside, stored at 55% in first-filled exSherry-Hogsheads and 45 % in first-filled exSherryButts

Nose: at the beginning ripe, red berries and blackberries, behind them figs covered in chocolate, traces of marzipan and walnuts in Toffee
Taste: lush notes of juicy, ripe fruits - especially figs, plus Medjool dates, apricots and raisins - then tones of milk chocolate with nutmeg and ginger develop, sweet chestnuts and roasted walnuts
Finish: spicy oak, with cinnamon and pipe tobacco

Für einen Blend außergewöhnlich volle Aromen. Intensive Frucht und Würze halten sich die Balance. Ein schöner Malt für kühle, dunkle Winterabende der einen in Weihnachtsstimmung versetzt.

Toller Blended Malt, in optimaler Trinkstärke und zu einem überzeugenden Preis. Trotz NAS wirklich gelungen, geschmacklich wäre noch eine klare Orangen-Note zu erwähnen und natürlich der deutliche Sherry-Einfluß, ein klarer Kauf! Bin sehr zufrieden!
