The first single malt whisky from the renowned distillery Guglhof from Salzburg in Austria.
This noble single malt whisky was made with tauern rye, the alpine grain of the Salzburg Tauern.

The whiskey was distilled in 2011 and matured first in a new Limousin oak barrel, then for another 3.5 years in French exSauternes wine barrels.

Aroma: distinct aroma of bread and grain, as well as islay-typical aromas of peat, smoke and iodine
Taste: at the beginning fresh with a fine, smoky spice - honey, caramel and vanilla behind it
Finish: strong, long finish - again the spice and the smoke

The TauernROGG was in falstaff with 93 points rated.
