Great King Street - Glasgow Blend Compass Box 43% vol. 0.5l
Compass Box flipped through Aeneas MacDonald's Whisky book, published in 1930, and found the whisky tastes of the Glasgow society of that time - full and complex, with far more flavors than whiskey drinkers from other parts of the world would like taste!
In Compass Box 'Glasgow-Blend you will find a pronounced peaty smoke, with distinct sherry notes, dried fruits and a wine character, the taste is full and round with a sweetness of tropical fruits
On the label you can see the famous Wellington statue that stands in Glasgow, including the traffic cones that the statue has decorated for decades in Glasgow.
For this blend 33% Lowland Grain Whiskey from a Destillery at Fife and 67% Malt Whisky from the regions of Islay, Highlands and Speyside were used.
The Islay single malt comes from the distillery on Islay's south coast and accounts for about 20% of the recipe.
In addition, there is a fruity Malt Whisky from the village of Brora and a sherry-heavy Single Malt from the Aberlour region, which accounts for about 33% of the receipt.
The whole thing is complemented by small portions of Malt Whisky from the Speyside and the Highlands, which are not specified.
