The flagship of the Speyside distillery Aberlour.
"Vom Ursprung" means the Gaelic expression "a'bunadh" - and this is exactly how the single malt whiskey is bottled: Matured exclusively in former Spanish Oloroso sherry-butts, bottled in barrel strength, without cold filtration.
Aroma: various spicy aromas, accompanied by chocolates and orange - then intense, powerful aromas of Oloroso sherry
Taste: again orange, black cherries, dried fruits and ginger, notes of dark chocolate, sherry and oak - a full body - full and creamy
Finish: a robust, intense finish with bittersweet notes of exotic spices, dark chocolate and oak
