1776 Straight Rye James E. Pepper 46% vol. 0,7l
It was Colonel James E. Pepper who created the "1776" brand, and it is this brand and its whiskeys that are bringing the Georgetown Trading Company back to life.
After years of research, the company Georgetown Trading Co. has collected the old recipes and revived the 1776. The stated goal is to produce the new whiskeys in the old style.
The result is a rich rye whiskey with an unusually high rye content in the mash, full-bodied notes of vanilla, chocolate, honey and a strong rye flavor.

mein persönlicher preisleistungsfavorit in sachen rye ;) da wird ein whiskey sour besonders lecker, geht aber auch sehr gut pur...

Wer gern mal Probiert!
Wer gerne mal eine Rye Whiskey ausprobieren möchte, ist hier sehr gut beraten, ein sehr milder aber trotzdem viellschichtiger Whiskey. Leicht süß und mit einem kräftigen Aroma, mit typisch starken abgang eines Rye`s.

Würzig, kräftig! Wem als Malt-Trinker Bourbon zu "süß" ist (so wie mir) oder zu "langweilig" (habe ich auch schon gehört), der kann es mal damit versuchen. Nur leichte Anklänge an Bourbon, aber deutlich würziger, mehr Tiefe und mit 50% recht kräftig.
