Auchnagie Vintage Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey - Distillery Lost 46% vol. 0,7l
The Auchnagie distillery existed for almost 100 years, it is located about six miles southeast of Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands - a neighbor of the Edradour distillery, which still exists today.
Auchnagie did not draw his water, as usual from a spring or a river, the rainwater was collected from the surrounding mountain slopes in a large basin, a floodgate installed to do so also drove a water wheel to grind the barley can.
Auchnagie was therefore always dependent on the rain, only then could be produced, but fell too much rain, so spoiled the barley in the fields, which was needed for the product.
Despite this dependency, the distillery managed to produce a highly sought after single malt whiskey for almost a century (about 80 barrels of whiskey were bottled each month).
Aroma: fruity aromas, especially pears and mirabelles, some honey - clearly sweet malt and wheat biscuits - after adding a little water, hemp is added, the fruity notes become clearer
Taste: very spicy with an interesting sweetness of apple pastry and fresh vanilla - with a little water it loses its sweetness and spiciness
Finish: Medium long, warm finish
