These venerable brands were forever lost - until now!
The Lost Distillery Company is independent and wants to bring the old names and their whiskeys back to life.
For this purpose, historical documents with a lot of research are used to create new interpretations of these long-forgotten whiskeys.
Used for these whiskeys young and old barrels, which give a taste profile that corresponds to 15-18 years old whiskey.
The Gerston Distillery was located about seven miles south of the town of Thurso in northernmost Scotland.
Nearby is the tourist town Halkirk.
There were many illegal distilleries in the late 18th century.
Gerston was founded in 1796 by Francis Swanson in the west of the city. Gerston was a very small distillery, but the whiskey produced here had an excellent reputation!
Aroma: very fruity, clearly the aromas of ripe red fruits and toffee
Taste: the fruits are more dominant, you taste plum, red berries and apples - then comes back to the toffee in the foreground, spices and a little smoke to join
Finish: long, warm finish

Wer eine Überraschung mag, der wende sich diesem Whisky zu. Aromenvielfalt, eingebunden in einen schönen Rauch sind eine Belohnung. Nase: sehr fruchtig, sanft angenehm, Sommerfrüchte, ein wenig Rauch Mund: geht schön auf, Fruchtlast, leichte Vanille, dann breitet sich Rauch aus Finish: lang warm, rauchig Schönes Preis-Leitungsverhältnis

Ein gelungenes Experiment verlorene Destillen wieder ins Gedächtnis zurück zu holen. Geschmacklich ausgewogen.

Es muß nicht immer ein singel malt sein, zeigt dieser Sehr gute blend der hervorragend auf dem Gaumen liegt und angenehm als Feierabend Whisky sich eignen tut
