Nose: fresh and spicy with light smoke aromas - citrus fruits, almonds and anise in the background
Taste: soft in the taste with a very pleasant mouthfeel, the smoke becomes clearer, in addition to notes of honey, cinnamon and cloves - also the anise comes through again
Finish: the smoke is retained, slightly sweet
Cù Bòcan (spoken: Kü Boken) is Gaelic and means ghost dog.
Scotland is a land of stories and legends - this story tells of a big black monster roaming the highlands moors.
Legend has it that the monster is rarely seen once per generation.
A distillery employee tells us that he met the monster late at night, but despite his anxiety, he wanted to touch the creature and only caught in the blue smoke that disappeared in the moor ....

Ein Tomatin mit rauchiger Note ohne Altersangabe. Als jemand, der sowohl den Tomatin 12 als auch den 14jährigen (Port Wood Finish) sehr zu schätzen weiß, sehr gerne auch die rauchigen Bowmores trinkt, oder sich mal den Ardbeg 10 oder den 10jährigen Talisker gönnt, hat mich der Cù Bòcan eher nicht so überzeugt. Ist nicht schlecht, würde ich aber nicht mehr kaufen, da Alternativen vorhanden.

Kommt halt eben nicht von den Inseln, aber dennoch mal einer mit etwas Rauch.

Die Frucht dichkeit und Leichtigkeit dieses Whiskys gepaart mit dem Rauch ist eine sehr leckere Kombination. Einer meiner Lieblingswhiskys
