Tamdhu 10 Year Old Sherry Cask Matured 43% vol. 0,7l
Independent bottler Ian MacLeod has brought the distillery back to life and is now refilling a 10-year old single malt whiskey that has been stored exclusively in former sherry casks.
Aroma: very soft on the nose, noticeably vanilla and sweetened almonds - a very nice balance of fresh oak and cinnamon
Taste: fruity and spicy, gentle transition to toffee and a lot of sherry
Departure: the fruity notes remain, the vanilla also comes back - dry on the finish with a delicate touch of peat smoke

1988 mein erster Singlemalt in Schottland, empfohlen in einem Club im höchsten Dorf Schottlands von unserem schottischen Gastgeber. Absolut ausgewogener Whiskey mit einem phantstischen Aroma und einem perfekten Abgang.

Als daily Whisky zu empfehlen. Habe mir noch den 10 Limited gegönnt.Gibt es nur im shop der Destillery Thamdu.

Nase: Vanille, Eiche, im Hintergrund auch ein wenig Rauch und Sherry und... Pflaumen? Gaumen: Viel Frucht (wieder Pflaumen, Orangen, natürlich Sherry), Vanille, würzig Abgang: relativ lang, wieder die Vanille, jetzt deutlicher Rauch, präsente Fruchtnoten, Eiche Preis-Leistung sehr gut, nicht nur für Einsteiger, genialer "Alltags-Sherrywhisky"
