Product information "Ballechin # 8 Sauternes (First-fill) Matured 46% vol. 0,7l"
The eighth bottling of the Edradour distillery under the name Ballechin.
Ballechin (1810-1927) was next to Edradour one of seven farmhouse distilleries that burned in Perthshire Malt Whiskey.

Edradour reminds with this bottling of the old distillery and let the malt mature in first fill Sauternes barrels.
In total, only 6,000 bottles were bottled.

Ballechin is a heavily tormented Highland Malt!
This eighth bottling will be the last in the Discovery Series, with a regular 10-year-old Ballechin starting in the second half of 2014.

Einzigartig!! Sehr fruchtig und süss!! Wer raucht liebt, kommt an diesem Whisky nicht vorbei!!

Schon die in den Jahren zuvor erschienenen Abfüllung ließen für Freunde des "Peatet"-Whisky einiges erhoffen. Edradour hat hier einen Whisky mit ausgeprägter Torfnote und einem sehr aromatischen Finish über die gesamte Serie hergestellt.
