Distilled in 1967 at the Scottish Highland distillery of Ben Nevis, this single malt matured for 45 years in a Refill Hogshead before Douglas Laing bottled it in the Director's Cut series.
Just 169 bottles gave the barrel after 45 years of maturity ago.
Aroma: reminiscent of beeswax and polished wood, then a sweet spice - in the background vanilla and toffee, a bit fruity
Taste: at first like chocolate pralines, then clearly ripe oranges, sweet and spicy, again toffee and gentle oak tones
Departure: Aroma and taste are reflected in the medium-long finish again, still sweet and spicy
