First for 17 years in traditional whisky casks from American white oak, then for several months in former sherry casks from Spain.
Nose: clearly green apples and warm acacia honey
Taste: warm mouthfeel, vanilla and spices
Finish: incredibly long finish, the honey and vanilla come back

Der Preis ist zwar für einen 17 Jahre alten Whisky ganz schön hoch aber er wird seinem Preis auch wirklich gerecht :-)

Einer meiner absoluten Favoriten im Bereich Sherry-Cask-Nachreifung. Sehr elegant mit Eichearoma, Vanille und Honig. David Steward ist hier eine logische Fortführung des schon guten 12-jährigen Double Wood gelungen.

Ich bin kein echter Whiskeykenner, sondern bin durch meinen Schottlandurlaub auf Whskey aufmerksam geworden. Dieser hier hat es mir besonders angetan. Grund: weil er einfach richtig gut schmeckt. Habe auch zunächst den 12jährigen hiervon gekauft, aber der mehr als doppelte Preis lohnt sich wirklich.
