Robbie (Paul Brannigan) is condemned to charitable work and meets not only three like-minded people, but also a new passion: whiskey. In order to make a future possible for himself and his young family, he soon embarks on a daring coup: Somewhere in the Scottish Highlands, a barrel of the world's most expensive whiskey should still exist.
And a few bottles of this "water of life" could actually give him and his friends a carefree future. Or 5 years behind bars.

Sehr schöner Film! Weniger Komödie (wie das Marketing verspricht) als vielmehr humorvolle Sozialstudie und Drama mit einer schönen Geschichte und originellen Typen - Ken Loach eben. Und Whisky-Legende Charles MacLean spielt auch mit!
Gedreht zum Teil in der Deanston-Destillerie erfährt man auch viel über Whisky, die Herstellung und die Philosophie darüber. Und ziemlich am Anfang wird eine Flasche Springbank 35yo geöffnet...! :)
Den Film am besten mit einem Dram genießen.
