The owner of the legendary London whiskey shop "The Wisky Exchange" surprises with every filling with qualities of the highest quality.

Aroma: one smells the proximity to the sea! a bit oily with soft smoke, which is becoming peatier - a slightly fruity note above all
Taste: full-bodied and creamy - fruity in the taste, again the peat smoke, then bananas, cocoa and malt
Finish: oily and sweet on the finish with a clear peat note

Port Askaig ist natürlich dem Caol Ila in vielerlei Hinsicht sehr ähnlich. Der Harbour hat mir besser als der Islay geschmeckt. Ich hoffe das dies Abfüllung mal wieder erhältlich sein wird. Ein sehr komplexer und kräftiger Whisky wie ich ihn persöhnlich sehr mag.
