Bowmore 15 Year Old 1996/2012 Douglas Laing Director's Cut 52.2% vol. 0,7l

Douglas Laing & Co. was founded in 1950 as a blending company.
The core business is still old-fashioned blends - the main markets for Douglas Laing & Co. are Latin America and Asia.
Since this business has been declining since the mid-90s, it has been decided to fill the best malts from its own stock as a single malt.
The result is the high quality "The Old Malt Cask" series and the "McGibbon's Provenance" series.

Bowmore "Director's Cut"
Founded in 1779, Bowmore is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries.
Bowmore still uses its own malting floors and is one of the few distilleries on Islay, who like to experiment with sherry barrels.

Aroma: buttery and sweet, vanilla (like cream brulee) and a soft smoky note
Taste: again sweet, then a gentle hint of smoke and sweet barbecue
Finish: long finish, still sweet, now with a lot of dark chocolate and tough tar
