Douglas Laing & Co. was founded in 1950 as a blending company.
The core business is still old-fashioned blends - the main markets for Douglas Laing & Co. are Latin America and Asia.
Since this business has been declining since the mid-90s, it has been decided to fill the best malts from its own stock as a single malt.
This resulted in the high quality "The Old Malt Cask" series as well as the "McGibbon's Provenance" series.
Royal Brackla - In Celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee
Royal Brackla, founded in 1812, produces a malt that is pleasantly soft and sweet.
Closed from 1985 to 1991, this bottling dates back to the time when she belonged to United Distillers.
The distillery bears the title "Royal" in the name since Wilhelm IV declared this whiskey his favorite in 1835.
"Dangerously good drinkable" called the whiskey author Michael Jackson this pleasantly soft, rather sweet malt.
Aroma: initially spicy, then marzipan and orange peel
Taste: spicy notes, paired with walnut and chocolate
Finish: Long and spicy - a little hazelnut and mocha
Edition: 250 bottles
