Glen Scotia 18 Year Old 1992/2011 Sherry Douglas Laing "Old Malt Cask" 50% vol. 0,7l

Douglas Laing & Co. was founded in 1950 as a blending company.
The core business is still old-fashioned blends - the main markets for Douglas Laing & Co. are Latin America and Asia.
Since this business has been declining since the mid-90s, it has been decided to fill the best malts from its own stock as a single malt.
This resulted in the high quality "The Old Malt Cask" series as well as the "McGibbon's Provenance" series.

Glen Scotia "The Old Malt Cask"
Glen Scotia is next to Springbank, the last still producing distillery in Campbeltown, alone here were previously over 30 distilleries in operation.
Glen Scotia currently produces only very irregularly, so that there are often bottlenecks and the malt is often not available.

Aroma: lusciously spicy with toffee and caramelized fruits
Taste: gentle and round in the taste, again many spices
Departure: soft and spicy! Sweet sweets behind
