Gordon & MacPhail is probably the most important independent bottler in Scotland.
Gordon & MacPhail has vast stocks of barrels from almost all distilleries, the stored vintages date back to the 30s.
The most famous series by Gordon & MacPhail is the Connoisseurs Choice with over 40 different bottlings.
There is also a Cask Strength series and bottlings under the name Spirit of Scotland and Speymalt.
One thing all the bottlings have in common is the very high, excellent quality.
Glen Keith
Glen Keith was built by the Chivas & Glenlivet Group in the period 1957-1960.
The aim of this distillery was to meet the enormous demand for the big brands such as Chivas Regal and others, whose blends included Glen Keith's entire production.
Only at the end of 1994, the first own bottlings came on the market, before it was Glen Keith as a single malt only from the independent bottlers.
Until the year 1970, the malt was distilled three times at Glen Keith, before switching to the already in Scotland now common double distillation after upgrading the stills (stills).
In 1999, the distillery was closed due to overcapacity.
Glen Keith is a real Speysider with a wonderful finish.
