Portrait: What makes the Tullamore Dew special
Tullamore Dew originally comes from the Tullamore Distillery, founded in 1829 in Tullamore, County Offaly.
Daniel E. Williams ran the distillery in the late 19th century and gave the whiskey its current name (Dew means (morning) dew).
Following the major crisis in the Irish whiskey market, the distillery closed in 1954.
The Tullamore Dew brand came to John Power & Son.
Today, Tullamore Dew belongs to Beam Global and is produced at the Irish distillery in Midleton.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Tullamore Dew tastes like
- Nose: distinct aromas of ripe fruit, with warm pastries with toffee and caramel
- Palate: full-bodied with notes of sherry and spices, warm toast with butter and honey, followed by vanilla
- Finish: long finish - more caramel and toffee

Das ist ein sehr guter Whisky für Einsteiger oder für Kenner mal zwischen durch. Leicht und mild.

Bisher war ich überhaupt kein Whiskey Trinker, aber seitdem ich in der Destillerie vor Ort in Irland eine Probe-Verkostung erlebt habe, bin ich ein Fan dieses Whiskeys. Leicht, fein, mit ganz viel Aroma. Er "zergeht"auf der Zunge... Versandshop "Malts and More" sind, hinsichtlich Preis-Leistung, nicht zu toppen. Immer nur sehr gute Erfahrungen. Damit nur weiter zu empfehlen.
