Benriach has created a very unusual Speyside malt with this malt, very peaty, with a strong smoke and a long finish.
Aroma: intense sweet peat smoke and moist soil - behind it clearly vanilla and aromas of apple and pear
Taste: again the peat smoke, pleasant spicy notes, again the vanilla and again the apples and pears, more tropical notes of apricot and mango
Finish: sweet and smoky finish, powerfully spicy - again the vanilla and fruits

hat mich begeistert. etwas für welche die es richtig rauchig mögen. nicht sonderlich komplex aber mit richtig viel Bumms. jederzeit wieder! Preis auch absolut fair!

Nun ja... Hätte mir mehr erwartet. Geruch: kurz Rauch (verfliegt rasch) eher Holzfeuer als Torf, überreifer braungewordener Apfel, erwärmtes Plastik Geschmack: nüchtern, kein Feuer, überreifes Obst gepaart mit chemikalischer Note (Holzschutzmittel) Abgang: kurz aber knackig, bekannte Noten kommen fix nocheinmal vorbei, dann ist er weg
