Honored as the World's Best Pot Still Whiskey at the World Whiskey Awards 2014!

The favorite among the Pure Pot Still Whiskeys from Ireland.
The distillery Midleton distilled this malt since 1939.
Redbreast is perfectly balanced at the age of 15, a true exception Irish whiskey, the 12-year-old's big brother.

Aroma: Complex - full and rich, a rounded mix of berries and aromatic oils
Taste: round and gentle with lots of fruit, spices and roasted wood
Finish: long finish, very balanced

Das irische "Rotkehlchen" mit 15 Jahren ist für mich neben den schottischen Whiskeys ein absoluter Höhepunkt des Genusses. Ältere Chargen mit 18 und 21 Jahren können sein, müssen es aber nicht. Ist für mich auch harmonisch abgestimmt und ziehe ich persönlich auch dem Cask Strength von Redbreast vor.

Mein absoluter Favorit bei den Irish Whiskeys! Der 12 year ist schon super, der 15 year hat nochmal mehr Volumen und Fruchtigkeit, total rund und weich. Dagegen kommt auch Bushmills nicht an.
