Using the same standards, techniques and philosophy that Compass Box uses for all its bottlings, Great King Street offers a style and access to blended scotch that never existed before!
The key is the use of a high percentage of malt whisky, excellent grain whisky and the careful maturation in new French oak, which adds an extra complexity. (Signature Range)
The Great King Street series starts with "Artist's Blend", a rich, round and fruity whisky, with distinct hints of roasted oak, vanilla and spices.
Name and label is inspired and inspired by the company address of Compass Box in Edinburgh - 24 Great King Street.

Nose: sweet and creamy with lots of cereals - plus dried fruit, vanilla, citrus and warm apple pie
Taste: the creamy touch remains! gentle and elegant with rich notes of wintry spices, again the warm apple pie, raisins and also the citrus notes are back
Finish: rich and sweet on the finish with hints of pastries and spices

Für mich ein Whisky, der mich durch seine Schlichtheit und Harmonie immer wieder auf's Neue bezaubert. Er passt immer und zu allen Gelegenheiten. Dazu kommt, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar ist.

Good blending job here. The will notice the very good qualite of the grain! In all premium blends the main ingredient matters most. Trust me in that, it will let the malts playing as the blender want it to be.
