Balvenie, built in 1892/93, is now owned by the fifth generation of the Grant family, who also own the neighboring distillery Glenfiddich.
W. & J. Grant are not related to the grants of the Glenfarclas distillery.
Balvenie is an outstanding representative of the Speyside region.
The malt produced here is wonderfully soft, the malt flavor displaces the Torfton without losing strength or even too sweet.
Limited Release
This bottling first matured in traditional oak barrels and then received a second ripening in selected Madeira barrels.
The result is a whiskey with soft, smoky notes, followed by oak, honey and vanilla - and not least strong spicy and fruity notes.
